It makes me sick to see people on twitter telling Alex Gaskarth to kill himself over his opinion.
On a SONG.
The fact that many of them were Directioners made me lose a lot of respect for the fanbase. It sets a bad name for the rest of the fans who didn't do anything of the sort, however the number of people who did say something bothers the hell out of me. Alex Gaskarth is one one of many people I look up to. Thousands of other people do too. He constantly gives hope and words of encouragement to his own fans, reminding them that they mean something to this world. It's pretty easy to forget that he's only human, just like the rest of us. It's easy to forget that with pretty much any famous person is only human, but telling someone to kill themselves has almost the same effect on everyone, famous or not.
Some may shrug it off, others will take it to heart, and unfortunately, many people will actually succeed in doing the task. I honestly hope that those who said something to him on twitter will regret what they said, because it's a terrible thing to say, and like I said, it gives them a bad name. I hope anyone who told someone to kill themselves regrets doing so.
